Pop Smoke loved that he could go straight from the club to the studio at Tape. Here he recorded some of our favorite tracks such as “Paranoia”, “Enjoy Yourself” and his verse on “Wolves” ft. NAV

“We first met Pop Smoke in late November last year when he performed at Tape London. After his performance he came down to the studio and asked us to make a beat from scratch. The studio was packed but he wanted the mic in the middle of the room. Ten minutes in we had the basic beat and he freestyled: “Paranoia I’m having thoughts in my head”. We were instantly blown away because we had never heard him sing like that before. His energy and the vibe that night were just incredible. Everyone could feel that we were in the presence of a true star, it was one of those moments of studio magic that will live with us forever.”
